"Atlas" is a literary work consisting of fifty-one short story, divided humor on into four parts: "Theory", "city", "street" and "Signs." The timeline in the "City" and "Street" is the twenty-first century, when the city of Victoria (now Hong Kong) already exists, and the narrator can reveal only maps and atlases City icrtani at different times in the past, and what looked like changes suffered during the 156-years as a British colony from 1841 to 1997.
Apparently the historical evolution and unexpected changes humor on in different streets and areas in Hong Kong, these parts are still wrapped in the spirit of creative, at times fantastic. Such treatment of history entails provocative questions as: What is "true" history? humor on The writing of history is an act of creative interpretation and deliberate intervention? Mixing fact with fiction in these stories especially effective ja drama highlights how different cultures, different ideologies and different people require, openly or concealed, to read and explain to each other, to pripitomuvaat and limit each other.

Street "Oldridzh" is located in Shaw Kei Wan in the north-eastern part of the island of Hong Kong. Named as it was called Oldridzh bay, and one end of the street came out to the coast. The hill at the other end of the street, there was once a village Oldridzh. Name Oldridzh in Cantonese translation of the Oi was Dzui SLI, which means "like right."
Gulf Oldridzh (SLI Dzui Oi Wan) is named after Major Oldridzh. After the signing of the Treaty of Nanking in 1842, Major Oldridzh was sent to Hong Kong by the British army to lead the plan for the stationing of troops in newly colony. He proposed humor on a grand plan that covered a large military camp set in beautiful symmetry and excellent defensive scheme. The location he chose to camp encompassed the area that would later be placed barracks Admiralty, Central, Government hill and Botanic Gardens. Oldridzh joy I imagined that this giant invincible fortress will be the center and symbol of the island of Hong Kong in the future. But the governor at the time, Sir Henry Potindzher, strongly objected to the plan and insisted Oldridzh to keep Central for commercial purposes. Finally, the dream of Oldridzh military town remained unfilled.
The main contribution of Major Oldridzh for Hong Kong instead been strengthening military discipline. Since many British soldiers were not accustomed to the climate or infected with diseases, military morale was low. The situation was worsened because of poor discipline and the soldiers who were stealing, drinking alcohol and doing slow all day. Major Oldridzh punish soldiers who did not live up to the rules that have sent in A Kung Ngam remote (Rock grandfather), which was later located Lei Yue Mun division. He introduced new rules of conduct and tougher penalties to curb soldiers. Perhaps to honor Major Oldridzh government for his contribution in Shau Kei gulf Van decried by him. Oldridzh name already appears in early topographic map of Hong Kong which made Lieutenant Collins in 1845. Therefore, it was appropriate to name the Major translate humor on Oi with SLI Dzui (like order).
